RIM's BlackBerry App World Goes Live

Today the mobile application store for BlackBerries went live with software offerings tailored to BlackBerry smartphones. In order to use App World, BlackBerries need to be running system software 4.2 or higher, and have either a trackball or SurePress. BlackBerry users need to download the application (link below) before using it. A PayPal account is required to pay for apps. The store is available to users in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. The store offers access to lots of different appliations broken down into categories, such as entertainment, news, and more. Several hundred applications are available immediately.
