EU Could Compel Carriers to Support VoIP

The European Union is considering legislature that would force wireless network operators to support VoIP on their networks. Currently, individual countries oversee such legislature, but if it is enacted by the EU, then all operators hosting wireless services in EU member states would be forced to comply. VoIP allows end users to make calls through the Internet that can be less expensive than via cellular networks.
