Flexible OLED Display from Kyocera Charges when Folded

A new concept OLED display from Kyocera is powered by kinetic energy. The EOS phone, as it is called, has a soft, semi-rigid polymer skin surrounding a flexible, low-energy OLED display. The EOS makes use of shape memory, so buttons and keys are available when needed. It can unfold, like a wallet, into a widescreen display. The EOS also uses piezoelectronic generators to capture and store kinetic energy as the device is used. The EOS is still just a concept, but Kyocera hopes to integrate its technologies into future devices.
