Apr 20, 2009, 3:41 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Nokia has sold its Mobile Broadcast Solutions technology unit to Wipro, a company based in India. The division had about 40 employees and was responsible for creating hardware and software related to TV broadcasts and mobile phones. A Nokia spokesperson noted that the company wants to focus on the consumer-facing portion of mobile TV (the on-device software) rather than the business of mobile TV. The sale price was not disclosed.
