Sony Intros Yari Accelerometer-Based Gaming Phone

Today Sony Ericsson announced a new gaming phone called the Yari. The Yari takes advantage of an accelerometer for motion-based gaming. It also has dedicated gaming buttons and a new software carousel for sorting through games. Other features include music player, stereo speakers, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and video capture, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio with RDS, aGPS, and support for Microsoft's Exchange ActiveSync. Cellular radios in the Yari(a) include GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSUPA 850/1900/2100. It will be available in select markets in the fourth quarter.
