Verizon Wireless and Motorola today announced the Rival, a messaging phone with a QWERTY keyboard and a "touch dialpad" when closed, similar to the LG Neon for AT&T. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera, threaded messaging, 3.5mm headphone jack, memory card slot, EVDO data, GPS navigation, and visual voicemail. The Moto Rival is available starting today for $99.99 after $50 mail-in rebate, with a new two-year contract.
