Ericsson Launches Its Own Mobile Apps Store
Jun 29, 2009, 12:57 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Network equipment maker Ericsson is following Qualcomm's lead by announcing a new, hosted applications store that wireless network operators can use to offer content to their customers. Ericsson's store, similar to Qualcomm's, will be compatible with a wide variety of handsets and can be configured and controlled however the wireless network operators choose. Ericsson did not say if it has signed up any carrier customers for the new service, nor when it would be up and running.
