Verizon Wireless announced that it is launching V CAST Video services for the BlackBerry Storm today. Verizon notes that the Storm is the first smartphone in its lineup to have access to the V CAST repertoire of content, which includes full-length television programs and live sporting events. The player itself has been updated to take advantage of the Storm's multimedia capabilities, it provides better search functions, and can playback higher resolution content. Storm users can find a link to the service in their browser. The application needs to be downloaded before it can be used, and carries a monthly fee of $10. Many of Verizon's feature phones already have access to V CAST Video.
