Samsung Calls Off SanDisk Bid

Samsung recently revealed that it is no longer pursuing SanDisk as an acquisition target. Samsung made an unsolicited bid to acquire SanDisk in 2008, but was rejected by SanDisk. The two companies later forged a patent-licensing agreement in May 2009. SanDisk produces NAND flash memory.
