Verizon Wireless Sets October 28 for Droid Announcement

Verizon Wireless has ramped up an advertising campaign to raise awareness of its upcoming Droid device, to be made by Motorola and run Google's Android OS. Now, Verizon has pegged October 28 as the date it will announce the new phone. Verizon labeled the device the "most desirable" and "must-have" phone of the year.
