Windows Marketplace for Mobile Launches Web Site
Nov 12, 2009, 8:25 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Microsoft recently launched a new web site that mirrors the Windows Marketplace for Mobile on desktop browsers and allows users to browse, buy and download applications online. If users choose to make a purchase online, the apps are sent wirelessly to the user's phone and will be installed the next time the user boots the Marketplace on their phone. Some new security features are also included. Microsoft said that support for Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 devices should be available later this month.
