Today Verizon Wireless announced a new application that it is making available to a wide selection of feature phones on its network called Social Beat. The application, which was developed by iSkoot, will let Verizon customers access their social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and other feeds all in one place. Social Beat lets users update their status and share information to any or all of their social networks, as well as view friends' activity, news feeds, status updates and new photos from a single portal. Social Beat is compatible with more than 20 handsets that are being offered by Verizon Wireless. The application is free.
