Palm has started limited testing of a new, web-based tool for app developers. The "Ares" development environment lets developers create webOS apps using a simple drag-and-drop interface running in a web browser. The tool was first announced in early November at the Open Mobile Summit event. A small group of third-party developers are currently testing Ares. Interested developers can request access for when Palm opens it up to more testers.
