Vonage App for iPhone and BlackBerry Goes Live
Dec 22, 2009, 4:11 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Vonage indicated that its VoIP-based calling application for both the iPhone and BlackBerry platforms is available. The application itself is free, and offers unlimited calling to 60 countries for a monthly fee of $25. The iPhone version allows users to make unlimited Vonage Mobile calls in the U.S. over Wi-Fi without using plan minutes. Both the BlackBerry and iPhone app can also work on cellular networks. The application will keep existing cell phone numbers, and lets users dial directly from their iPhone or BlackBerry address books. The application also integrates with Twitter, and lets users post status updates. iPhone users can download the application from the iPhone Apps Store, and BlackBerry users can download it directly from Vonage's web site.
