Samsung and Sprint today announced plans to conduct a "showcase" of ATSC-Mobile broadcast Digital TV technology in the first quarter of 2010 in the Washington and Baltimore areas. The trial will use a version of the Samsung Moment modified to include Samsung's single-chip solution for receiving ATSC-Mobile DTV broadcasts. Unlike MediaFLO, ATSC-Mobile content is broadcast directly by local TV stations. Samsung will be demonstrating the TV-capable Moment at the CES trade show this week.
