Jan 14, 2010, 12:30 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Google introduced a new version of its mobile application for the BlackBerry platform. The foremost new feature offered by the Google Mobile App for BlackBerries is the ability to search through the device's email and contacts programs. Users can type (or speak) a contact or email information and Google will search the device and return the appropriate results. It also offers shortcuts for placing calls and/or SMS messages once results are available. Users can also choose to search their network-based email and contacts databases for messages or contact information. Another new feature of the application will allow users to access the Internet via a BlackBerry's Wi-Fi radio. The new app requires BlackBerry OS 4.5 and higher and is a free download.
