Today the Wall Street Journal reports that Italian designer Gianni Versace will introduce a new luxury phone later this year. The handset, designed in concert with ModeLabs, will feature high-end materials such as leather, and can be customized depending on customer wishes. It will go on sale in May at Versace outlets. ModeLabs will supply the operating system and provide support. It will likely have a price point exceeding $5,000.
