Palm Makes SDK Available for webOS 1.4

Today Palm released a software developer kit for webOS 1.4. The new SDK's most important new tools include WebKit 4, which features improved CSS support. WebOS now makes better use of the HTML5 Media API. This reduces the latency in audio performance. The camera API has been extended to let an app initiate both video and image capture. The V8 JavaScript engine used in webOS has also been updated. Many other facets of the SDK have been updated, which should allow developers of webOS apps to make the best use of webOS 1.4's capabilities.
