Today Verizon Wireless and LG introduced the Cosmos, a new messaging phone that has a sideways slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Cosmos is compact, but offers built-in support for Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace, on top of regular messaging services such as SMS, IM and email. The Cosmos has a 1.3 megapixel camera with noise reduction and simple editing tools. The Cosmos also offers Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS, and speakerphone. The Cosmos will be available starting March 25 for $30 with new agreement after rebate.

It's like putting "extreme" or "diet" on the label.. doesn't matter how accurate, people will eat it up.
