Mar 23, 2010, 1:40 PM by Philip Berne
Samsung Mobile Innovator today announced the release of the mobile widget software developed kit with support for Samsung devices that use the BONDI widget and Web technologies. The Samsung Wave, the first device using Samsung's new bada platform, is also Samsung's first BONDI-capable device. The new Samsung Mobile Widget SDK with BONDI support, built on the open source Eclipse platform, will let developers create widgets for Samsung phones with access to geolocation information, device cameras, PIM data from the address book and calendar and more. Developers will be able to use widgets that can tap the media gallery on a device, as well as the native file system. The new mobile widget SDK is available today.
