RIM Buys QNX Software from Harman International

Today Research In Motion announced that it has acquired QNX Software Systems from Harman International. QNX makes software that is used in vehicles such as cars and trucks. The purchase could help RIM to expand the abilities of the BlackBerry platform when it comes to integration with cars and other vehicles. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and regulatory is required before the purchase can be completed.
