Twitter Adds More Specific Location Sharing
Apr 14, 2010, 12:52 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Twitter announced that it is adding a new location feature that will allow people to post their exact location. More than just providing a basic location — such as provided by similar services Foursquare and Gowalla — this new feature is about collecting tweets from a given location and painting a picture about what's happening at that exact spot. Users will be able to see locations on line and get a sense of what's going on there. The feature is called Places. Twitter didn't say when it will go live.
