Google Optimizes Places for Mobile Phones
Apr 28, 2010, 7:47 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Google today announced that it has created a mobile phone friendly version of Places available. Places is a service that collects information about places — such as restaurants — on a single page so it is easier to discover relevant information about that location. Places hosts data such as reviews, location, contact numbers and other details. Places is built into Google Maps, and is accessible from Android devices and the iPhone. Google didn't say if it intends to extend Places to other mobile platforms.
