Thumbplay has announced its Thumbplay Music service is now available on Android phones. Already on the BlackBerry platform, Thumbplay Music brings to Android a cloud-based subscription service with more than eight million tracks, according to the company, including major and independent label releases. The Android Thumbplay Music service does not get the local music cache that BlackBerry users can enjoy without a network connection. The app is now available in the Android Market. A subscription costs $10 per month after a free three-day trial. Thumbplay says an iPhone app is also forthcoming.
