Google today added bicycle directions to its Google Maps for Android. Apparently launched to coincide with National Bike Month this month, the biking directions also adds a bike lane layer to Google Maps, so you can decide to ride on bike-only trails, roads with bike lanes or roads that just allow bikes. In addition, Google is also offering a new desktop shortcut for navigation, as well as improved sharing of location and navigation data in apps like Buzz, Facebook and Twitter.
