Hutchison Whampoa, NTT DoCoMo To Collaborate on 3G

Hutchison Whampoa and NTT DoCoMo today announced details of their agreement to cooperate on the development and promotion of W-CDMA 3G services. The companies have agreed to share information on handset development and determine common specifications for 3G handsets. The companies will also align standards to test and implement seamless international voice and data roaming. The two companies have seperately launched the world's first W-CDMA networks.
