Fring Adds Video Calling Feature to Android Handsets

Fring today announced a new version of its application for the Android platform. The most important new feature of the updated app is the addition of free, two-way video calling over the internet. Fring already offers video calling for the Symbian and iPhone versions of its app. This is the first time that it is available for Android. According to Fring, the Android handsets will need to have a "fast CPU" in order for video calling to work. The application should work over most any mobile internet connection. including 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE and WiMax. The application is free.
