Clear and Sprint Expand WiMax Into D.C. and Kansas City

Today Clearwire and Sprint announced that central Washington, D.C., and Kansas City have been added to their WiMax coverage footprint. Clear also increased coverage in Baltimore. WiMax now covers 44 million people in 34 markets.

They launched 4G in my city at the beginning of May, and it covered all of downtown - and now half of the city isn't covered any more! Too bad I don't have a 4G device to find out for myself...
