Consumer Cellular Lands Its First QWERTY Phone

Consumer Cellular today announced the addition of the Samsung A177 to its lineup of devices. The A177 — already available via AT&T as the Magnet — is a bar-style QWERTY phone with a 2.2-inch display, Bluetooth, speakerphone, and VGA camera. It costs $40 and requires a $35 activation free. Consumer Cellular is the wireless provider for AARP.
