Ericsson Wins T-Mobile Infrastructure Contract

Ericsson and T-Mobile USA today announced that T-Mobile has awarded Ericsson a new contract extension for major network upgrades and expansion. The upgrades will include EDGE technology for high-speed data, and AMR for increased voice capacity. The contract covers the 18 markets where T-Mobile already uses Ericsson equipment, as well as two new markets - West Virgina and parts of New England. The deal is valued at USD 500 million.
