Qwest To Use Sprint Network, Offer PCS Vision
Aug 4, 2003, 11:08 AM by (staff)
updated Qwest and Sprint today announced a wholesale agreement for Qwest to provide nationwide wireless services using Sprint's wireless network. Qwest will continue to offer Qwest-branded service and phones to new and existing consumers throughout its 14-state local service region. The deal is similar to the MVNO deal Sprint has with Virgin Mobile, although in a unique twist, Qwest will also offer PCS Vision (SM) branded services and content from Sprint. Existing Qwest customers will be transitioned to the Sprint PCS network. The deal paves the way for Qwest to sell its wireless infrastructure and spectrum assets.
