AT&T today announced a new mobile application that can be used by its wireless and U-verse customers to download and watch content from their home DVR. U-verse Mobile users will be able to access their DVR guide, program recordings, and download recorded shows (via Wi-Fi) and watch the shows on their handset. The application is free to AT&T Wireless and U-verse customers. The DVR access and control function is free, but in order to download and view recorded content on mobile handsets, U-Verse subscribers must have a U300 package and above. The application is initially available for the iPhone, though AT&T will roll it out to other platforms in the near future (starting with the BlackBerry Torch 9800).
