Nokia today announced that Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President and head of Nokia's Mobile Solutions unit, has resigned from the company. Vanjoki's resignation comes as something of a surprise, considering the company will host its annual Nokia World show in London starting tomorrow, and new smartphones are expected to be announced. Vanjoki will remain with Nokia for six months. Vanjoki's exit comes on the heels of the replacement of Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, the President and CEO of Nokia, with Stephen Elop, the President of Microsoft's Business Division.
