Nokia Nabs Former Palm Designer

Earlier this year, Peter Skillman left his post at Palm of 11 years where he served as the VP of design. He was responsible for contributing to the design of phones such as the Palm Pre. Skillman left Palm after it was acquired by HP. According to Skillman's LinkedIn profile, he is now employed by Nokia as the vice president for MeeGo user experience and services. MeeGo is the Linux operating system that Nokia is developing for mobile devices. Skillman will likely have a role in shaping the user interface of the MeeGo operating system. Skillman is not the only top design exec to leave Palm. Earlier this year, Google poached the designer of Palm's webOS platform. He now is working on Android for Google.
