At a press event in London, HTC unveiled two new Android phones, the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Desire Z. The HTC Desire Z looks nearly identical to the images released for the HTC-built T-Mobile G2, which will be available in the next couple months. HTC confirmed the new phones will begin to hit the market starting in October. HTC's original Desire is currently available on U.S. Cellular, and a close variation on the design was sold in the U.S. as the Google Nexus One.
