Apple today said that it is making a beta version of iOS 4.2 available to developers of the iPhone, iPad and iPod. Included in the beta OS software is Apple's AirPrint wireless printing technology. AirPrint finds nearby printers and can print text and images wirelessly via Wi-Fi without any additional software. Apple noted that HP will offer the first set of printers (ePrint branded) to be compatible with AirPrint. AirPrint is expected to debut when Apple releases iOS 4.2 to the iPad and other iOS devices.
