AT&T Launches International SMS

AT&T Wireless this week announced that it has expanded its text messaging (SMS) service to allow customers to exchange text messages with wireless users in more than a dozen countries - including China, Germany, Philippines, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The company expects to add nearly 200 carriers in 100 countries in the months ahead. The service costs $0.25 per message sent; incoming messages are free.
