In major step forward for m-commerce today, Nokia and Visa EU announced that they have joined forces to enable European consumers to use their mobile phones to make secure and convenient card payments. The cooperation is centered on the new wallet application in Nokia handsets and the Verified by Visa service. The application, first introduced in the Nokia 6220 and 6600 phones, enables users to store a range of personal information, including logins, Visa card details, and addresses, on their mobile phone and easily retrieve that data for m-commerce sessions.
