DoCoMo To Create Symbian-based 3G Platform

Symbian Limited today announced that it has signed an Operator Technology Integrator agreement with Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo. Under the agreement, NTT DoCoMo will develop a standard platform for FOMA 3G phones based on Symbian OS. The platform will integrate technologies required to deliver the carrier's FOMA 3G services, including user interface and service-level functionality.
