AT&T's U-Verse Lands on More Smartphones

AT&T announced that its U-verse mobile TV product is now available to the Android devices it its lineup. U-Verse Mobile lets AT&T Wireless and U-verse customers download and watch content from their home DVR. U-verse Mobile users will be able to access their DVR guide, program recordings, and download recorded shows (via Wi-Fi) and watch the shows on their handset. The application is free to AT&T Wireless and U-verse customers. The DVR access and control function is free, but in order to download and view recorded content on mobile handsets, U-Verse subscribers must have a U300 package and above. The application was initially available for the iPhone and BlackBerry Torch. Starting today, it also works with the Samsung Captivate, HTC Aria, and soon the Motorola Brave and Flipside. It can be downloaded from the Android Market. It is also now available for the BlackBerry Curve 3G.
