Oct 19, 2010, 8:30 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Motorola today announced its first USB-based FDD-LTE wireless broadband modem for use with laptops. Motorola says the USB-lt 7110 will be ideal for "video conferencing, high-definition content streaming, video blogging and the ability to quickly upload video onto social networking sites." Motorola didn't say which network operators might deploy its new LTE laptop dongle, nor when it would be available, nor what it might cost. Verizon Wireless is launching its LTE network in 35 cities later this year, and AT&T is launching LTE in mid-2011.
