Kyocera Wireless and Togabi Technologies last week announced an agreement to outfit selected future Kyocera phones with Togabi's push-to-talk (PTT) and real-time wireless media technology. Togabi's PacketCHAT is based on industry standard IP technologies such as Real Time Protocol (RTP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Kyocera plans to have Togabi-enabled PTT handsets available to carriers in the first half of 2004.
