Cellular South Opens New Markets Thanks to Banana Buy

Cellular South will open shop in new markets in Tennessee and Georgia thanks to a recent purchase of spectrum licenses from Banana Communications Ventures. The regional carrier also announced plans to use LTE technology in those areas as part of its larger LTE rollout plans. The Banana deal includes only wireless spectrum licenses, not towers or other network equipment.
