Sprint Mobile Wallet Offers Alternative For On-Device Purchases
Oct 27, 2010, 8:01 PM by Philip Berne
Sprint today announced Sprint Mobile Wallet, a new way to make payments for apps and services on a mobile device. The Mobile Wallet lets customers use existing Visa, MasterCard or Amazon Payments accounts, instead of using alternative services like Google Checkout or PayPal. Customers receive a PIN code and choose their method of payment at checkout. Payments are handled by CardinalCommerce. Sprint says the Mobile Wallet will allow payments within apps and on devices without the need for a separate app store.
