T-Mobile Launching Comet and Other Handsets Nov. 3

T-Mobile today announced the addition of four new handsets to its lineup starting on November 3. Three of the handsets, the LG Optimus T ($30), the Motorola DEFY ($100) and the Motorola Charm ($50), were previously announced. For the first time, T-Mobile has announced the Comet (re-branded Huawei Ideos), a low-cost Android handset. The Comet is a compact smartphone with a 528MHz processor, 2.8-inch touch screen and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Other features of the Comet include 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA at 7.2Mbps. It also has a .5mm headset jack and supports microSD cards up to 32GB. The T-Mobile Comet will be available for post- and pre-paid customers for $10 on contract and $200 no contract. All the post-paid prices reflect the final cost to customers after a $50 rebate with qualifying voice and data plans.
