Samsung Evergreen Is Recycled and Charitable

Samsung today launched the Samsung Evergreen, a quick messaging phone that uses 70% recycled post-consumer plastics. The Evergreen is free of PVC, BFR and Beryllium, and it comes with an Energy Star 2.0 efficient charger. The phone's packaging will also be 80% post-consumer recycled paper, with soy ink. The phone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 2.4-inch display up front. A 2 megapixel camera around back handles photo shoots, and the phone will run on AT&T's 3G network. The phone will launch November 7 on AT&T for $80, and buyers will receive a $50 mail-in rebate for an AT&T Promotion Card. For every purchase, Samsung will donate $1 to Cell Phones for Soldiers, up to a maximum $100,000 donation.
