Oct 15, 2003, 2:06 PM by (staff)
Verizon Wireless this week launched the Nokia 3589i, Nokia's first phone with BREW technology. The inclusion of BREW technology, marketed by Verizon as Get It Now, indicates an increased willingness by Nokia to customize its phones to meet carrier requirements. The phone also marks the return of Nokia to Verizon's lineup after an extended absence. The launch represents a major milestone in Nokia's efforts to re-establish itself as a major player in the CDMA market. Nokia also recently rekindled its relationship with Sprint PCS, another major CDMA carrier.
