Research In Motion today announced that BlackBerry Traffic is exiting beta and making a left turn towards a 1.0 release in BlackBerry App World. BlackBerry Traffic provides BlackBerry smartphone users with real-time traffic reports and provides what RIM calls "incredible accurate ETAs." The software uses crowd-sourced data to calculate travel times, provide alternate routes, update congestion reports, search through points of interest, as well as tallow for sharing ETA data with others via SMS, email or PIN. The software is a free download.
