Nokia Announces C2-01 and X2-01 Series 40 Phones

Nokia today announced two new handsets running its feature phone Series 40 platform. The C2-01 and X2-01 both have quad-band GSM/EDGE, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and FM with RDS radios on board. Other shared features incude threaded messaging, pre-installed Facebook software, and access to Nokia's Ovi Store.
- C2-01: This bar-style phone comes in two 3G configurations, including one with WCDMA support for North American bands. It features a 3.2 megapixel camera with video capture, 3.5mm headset jack, and support for microSD cards up to 16GB. It will be available during the first quarter fo 2011.
- X2-01: This slab-style messaging phone has a full QWERTY keyboard, VGA camera, and a 2.4-inch QVGA display. The X2-01 lacks 3G. It will be available before the end of the year.
