Motorola Acquires 4Home

Motorola today announced that it has acquired 4Home, a company that makes connected home services, such as ways to access and monitor energy management, home security, media management and home health. Motorola's Mobility unit — which will soon be spun off into Motorola Mobility Inc. — purchased 4Home for an undisclosed sum. The company believes the addition of 4Home's products and services will it offer better integrated services for customers, as more people use smartphones and advanced wireless systems to gather information.
